The White Box "Original" StoveTM was designed by Bill Ballowe in 2006. Bill was the first stove maker to design an open top stove using aluminum drink bottles. Since then he has sold over 6300 stoves worldwide.

White Box Stoves is a "GREEN" stove.

No other aluminum bottle stove is made from 100% recycled material and has had the paints removed from the outside of the bottle. We are the only stove maker, that we know of, that takes the time and expense to remove the painted labels from the recycled aluminum bottles. That means you don't have to breath burning paint fumes that are potentially unhealthy for you and no toxic gases are released into the environment.

We now build the same stove in two different models. All though the stoves are different heights they both weigh about 1 ounce each.

The "Original" stove model will hold up to 3 ounces of fuel and boil up to 10 cups of water on one fill of fuel and it has a total burn time of up to 27 minutes. It was designed to be used by 2 or 3 people on extended trips, day hikes and weekend jaunts. No other aluminum bottle stove has that much fuel capacity or will burn that long.

Our latest model called the White Box "SOLO"TM is designed for the backpacker who goes it alone. It will hold approximately 1.25 ounces of fuel and boil up to 3 cups of cold water. It has a total burn time of about 14 minutes.This stove was designed with a smaller diameter fire ring and is suitable for pots like the MSR Titan Kettle, Snow Peak Trek 900, Vargo .9L Kettle, Firelite 900, Optimus Terra Kettle, GSI Pinnacle, etc.

Both White Box StovesTM incorporate a "Cope RollTM" instead of rivets that were used in our first generation model. The rolled edge seals the two parts of the stove making an unbelievably strong top rim and a stove that will hold more than 400 pounds of weight. You will never have to worry about broken rivets, burned out tape or broken and faulty wicks with the new White Box Alcohol StoveTM.
